Video is the media of the future, and the future is now. With all smartphones in the air, it has never been easier to make pictures. But what about the music rights? Here is a little selection of my favorite options.

Audiojungle.net

This is the first website I’ve used to buy music and sounds for my videos. Cheap, pretty complete, but the major part of the items sound like « canned » music. If you’re picky, you’ll probably have to listen a lot before you find the perfect fit with your pictures, but it’s still a helpful library for quick low budget projects.

Licenses for music and audio tracks from 1 USD.

Soundstripe.com

The music is mainly organized by thematic playlists such related to emotional states. Useful for ambiental music, for short videos and spoken videos. For a yearly membership, you can access and download as much tracks as you want, with full rights on the music.

From 135 USD per year

Artlist.io

With the same emphasis as the previous one, this platform provides thematic music tracks.

From 199 USD per year.

Musicbed.com

This is the most complete music library. In terms of quality, it sure provides better music arrangements and a wide variety of compositions and instruments (acoustic or electronic). What I’ve found in every item is a real evolution of the song’s melody, rhythm and intensity that is very singular to emotion based music.

I guess you’ll find in here the best music for filmmakers.

From 45 USD for personal videos and from 199 USD for brands and companies.
