A journey about learning and sharing

My participation in the Petit Futé's travel guides began with a trip in 2010, after my first visit to Chile. I was introduced to the opportunity to contribute as a travel journalist assistant for destinations managed by Arnaud Bonnefoy, author and marketing manager at Petit Futé, at this time.

Countless hours of research to prepare each travel and learn the details about the destination, discover the local habits and traditions of every country, meet the locals and know about their stories, understand the potential of each place, pick up every information that is relevant for our readers, sleepless nights of redaction, photo editing, map settings and corrections to make it on time before each book was printed.

This is how I started creating travel content.

About Petit Futé

Petit Futé is a French travel publisher based in Paris. It begun about 30 years ago with city guides and regional guides, before extending their coverage worldwide with country guides and thematic guides. At the time I contributed to this company, they had the widest collection of travel guides in French language, including even Afghanistan.

The company has positioned itself not only as a touristic information provider, but above all as a marketing tool for the covered destinations to promote themselves. Which allow Petit Futé to adopt both B2C and B2B revenue model.

  • Targeted readers: French speaking people, +35 years old, from intermediate occupations to higher managerial and professional occupations
  • Targeted businesses: mainly ministry of tourism and regional bureaus, travel agencies, accommodation and restaurants.
