The coronavirus pandemic took a heavy toll on travel, making it one of the most affected industries. As a boutique cruise line, Antarctica21 had to keep its audience engaged and inspired by the idea of traveling to its destination again: Antarctica.
As the world went into lockdown, each of us remembers Antarctica as this incredible destination that has the power to change us from the inside. “Imagine Antarctica” is an invitation to dive into that inspirational state travelers experience when they discover a new and authentic destination.
Together with Jamie Ensey, we brainstormed the concept. I edited this video repurposing footage by Rene Araneda. The text is by Jamie Ensey.
Instagram is the main social channel we’ve invested in to share the message and a collection of stories highlighting Antarctica’s wonders, as well as the Antarctica21 guides that make this experience a life-changing one.
Traveling to Antarctica is probably the most unexpected journey of my entire life. Being there opened my eyes to see our home planet from a different angle. From the perspective of an untouched, pristine and preserved Earth. I will be forever thankful to Antarctica21‘s team and Francesco Contini who made this trip possible onboard of Ocean Nova.
